The short version, without hand-waving.
Answers for buyers, sellers, agents, and anyone checking what a wallet payment or a product license actually means.
What is 0xRouter?
0xRouter lets creators issue each digital product as a unique ERC-721-compatible owner NFT. The holder can keep future verified x402 access-fee entitlement or transfer the token through a compatible external venue; copyright, creator provenance, and buyer licenses stay separate.
What does a buyer receive?
A successful paid request produces the exact product bytes plus a machine-readable license receipt. The receipt records the product version, rights terms, content hash, payer wallet, settlement reference, and delivery state.
Does a token give me copyright ownership?
No. The product license describes what the buyer may do with the purchased work. An owner or royalty token represents an economic-rights model and does not automatically transfer copyright.
What is x402?
x402 is the payment handshake used by the content route: an unpaid paid request receives payment requirements, a compatible wallet signs the payment, and the client retries with the payment header.
What happens with a free product?
Free products use the same content route but do not emit a payment challenge or settlement. They still produce a free-access receipt so the terms and product version remain explicit.
Can a seller see a buyer's identity?
The seller can see protocol-level references such as a payer wallet when the payment flow exposes one. A wallet address is not treated as a verified human identity, and private buyer identity is not inferred from it.
Are sales guaranteed income?
No. Seller stats are historical verified settlement records and operational projections. They are not a promise of revenue, yield, token appreciation, or future demand.
Can payments be reversed?
Blockchain and wallet actions may be irreversible. Contact the seller or support channel for a genuine delivery issue, and never send another payment to fix a suspicious request.
Can I use the API as an agent?
Yes. Agents can discover resources, use bearer credentials, request paid content, and read typed sales or receipt responses. Keep secrets out of prompts, logs, URLs, and tool arguments.
Is The Graph the current sales database?
Not yet. The current API reads its local persisted projection. A future subgraph can index on-chain settlement events and feed the same response shape after the settlement contracts and network deployment are ready.
