What happens when a digital handoff goes wrong.
A practical draft for digital delivery issues, failed payments, seller policies, and network actions that may not be reversible.
Before you pay
Review the product description, selected license, network, asset, amount, and seller information. A wallet should show the final transaction details before signing. Never sign a request that you do not understand.
Failed or rejected payment
A 402 challenge, invalid signature, wrong recipient, wrong network, or facilitator rejection is not a completed sale. Do not keep retrying blindly; check the wallet, requirements, nonce, and public product status.
Settlement succeeded but delivery failed
Keep the public transaction reference and receipt ID. Contact the seller or the support channel with those references. A delivery retry should reuse the existing payment identity and must not require a second payment for the same entitlement, subject to the product terms and applicable law.
Completed digital delivery
Digital products may be non-refundable after the exact bytes have been delivered, subject to mandatory consumer rights and the seller's published policy. The terms attached to the receipt control the product license; they do not erase rights that cannot legally be waived.
Blockchain and wallet limitations
- Wrong-wallet signatures and mistaken blockchain transfers may be irreversible.
- 0xRouter does not hold private keys or act as a custodial bank.
- We cannot reverse a public-chain transaction merely because the sender changed their mind.
- Any platform refund process must be handled through the documented seller/support route and may require separate evidence.
